Abstract

Robot-assisted surgery, like any surgical procedure, is an activity that is not risk-free, which implies the permanent attitude of the medical professional to know and prevent adverse events in robotic surgery. Events can cause injuries, disabilities and death of the patient, with the consequent implicit responsibilities. The constant attitudes of foresight will prevent these events from precipitating, making it necessary to encourage and facilitate these behaviors through timely information, training and didactic technical knowledge of the implicit risks and adverse events in robotic surgical activity, which will contribute to the improvement of quality of care.
