We present the case of a 38-year-old male patient with a history of mild COVID-19 during the pandemic. He presented to the National Hospital Dos de Mayo with approximately 200 ml of hemoptysis and dyspnea. He was admitted to the intensive care unit with a high-flow nasal cannula, showing a slow progression. He was intubated and placed on invasive mechanical ventilation and treated for Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia caused by Acinetobacter Baumannii and Klebsiella KPC. When no improvement was observed, he underwent surgical intervention by thoracic and cardiovascular surgery, performing a lobectomy of the right lower lobe. As he continued to have high fever spikes, amphotericin B was initiated due to suspected invasive aspergillosis, which was later confirmed by pathology. He was discharged afebrile and with stable vital signs.
